Trotter's Glebe
Larch clad log cabin with cedar shingle roof, set in ancient pasture with wood fired hot-tub
This truly unique hand crafted building nestles in a corner of an ancient pasture with a tiny stream trickling next to the boundary hedge between the lawn and the horse paddocks.
The open-plan space boasts a full kitchen with fridge and ice box, hob, oven, dishwasher and plenty of pots, pans and crockery. A double bed with soft cotton sheets and comforting feather duvets/pillows, plus a double sofa-bed for extra guests. The wood-burning stove makes it super cosy all year round and a wall mounted TV completes the sitting area. The ensuite has a walk in shower, toilet and wash basin.
Outside, the south side boasts a large verandah, ideal for those shaded rests from the mid-day sun. And with a large decking area, you can bask in the warmth and take a dip in the wood fired hot tub as the sun sets over the surrounding forest.
The roof is covered in cedar shingles, and the sides are clad in a tasteful mix of larch boards and corrugated iron. There is private parking and a ramp for wheelchair accessibility.
Guests can choose to stay here self catering or full board with the option to order from our selection of hampers of home-made meals and goodies.

Gardener's Breakfast Basket

Home-made fruity granola and seasonal compote, Greek yoghurt and home-made preserves. Served with a freshly home-made white or seeded loaf, butter and orange juice.
Farmhouse Breakfast Basket
£30 for two people
Locally sourced bacon, sausage, tomato, mushrooms, baked beans, and free range eggs from our hens. Served with a freshly home-made white or seeded loaf, butter and orange juice.
Mrs Wilson's Afternoon Tea
£25 for two people
Home-made sausage rolls, cheese scones, rich scones, jam and cream, Mars Bar cake, fruit cake and a choice of specialty teas (Earl Grey, Lady Grey, lapsang souchong, fruity).
Hiker's Picnic
£15 for two people
Sausage rolls, cheese & onion or egg sandwiches, flapjack and cookies. Complete with napkins, filled flasks, tea, coffee, sugar, milk and mugs.
Sunset Snacks
£10 for two people
Assorted cheeses, crackers, grapes, butter, pate and home-made dip.
